In 1998, we decided to take our family farm, Ridgefield Farm, from a commercial cattle operation to a purebred cattle operation. We chose Braunvieh cattle, a breed that originated in the Swiss Alps that yields a very fine-grained meat with a limited amount of waste fat and enough marbling to insure wonderful flavor. All of our beef comes from cattle that are at least half Braunvieh. We go the extra step that very few beef producers go today, we dry age our beef for two weeks, then prime cuts are aged an additional 2 weeks in vacuum sealed bags. Brasstown Beef was born from the positive feedback from the people who tried our beef and proclaim it to be the best tasting and most tender beef they ever had! Our beef is offered in fine dining establishments in NE Georgia and Western North Carolina. We are also offering pork from breeds known to produce excellent marbling, texture and great flavor. Our beef and pork comes from locally grown and humanely raised cattle and pigs. The Farm Store at Ridgefield Farm will be offering Brasstown Beef and Brasstown Pork, both fresh and frozen in vacuum packaging. Our store hours will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday and Saturday. Come visit us and try our beef and pork.http://www.ridgefieldfarm.net/

At our ranch we grow natural luffa sponges for bathing and other scrubbing needs. We process in clear water with no chemicals. The luffa are dried in the mountain air and sunshine and sold in their natural state. They are soft and wonderful and last for several months.

Located in the southwesternmost corner of North Carolina, our farm is home to Mike and Woody Ham, 43 delightful alpacas, 1 noble llama, 5 loyal dogs and 2 working cats. These ancient Appalachian hills surround us with four distinct seasons and daily encounters with the miraculous natural world.
Two Crows Farm promotes the rural lifestyle, which for us, includes raising alpacas for their luxurious fiber. We invite you to come learn about raising livestock, processing yarn, growing your food and the sense of community that living in the country brings.
Come Meet the Alpacas!
We all look forward to getting to know you better!
