During this tour, you will have the opportunity to hear our colorful history, catch a glimpse of our paranormal friends if they decide to be seen and possibly use some of the latest paranormal equipment in person. Yes, this is the same equipment used on many of the popular paranormal shows.
During the walk, you will hear facts about the historical sites, some of which are on the national register for historical locations. Learn interesting yet little known facts about the Civil War in Murphy, the Trail of Tears, Abraham Lincoln’s father and of course the legends behind them.
The walking shepherds (members of the Cherokee County Paranormal Society) will also entertain you with the ghost side of the legends. You will experience the visual and audible side of the paranormal if we are lucky to have some “invisible” guests with us. At Harshaw Chapel, there will be infrared cameras taking live video of other worldly events happening right before your eyes, laser thermometers that read ambient temperatures from 70 and 80 degrees drop rapidly to below 30 degrees and that’s just the start………
At Harshaw Chapel, you will have the ability to refresh yourself with water on your journey.
We encourage participants to bring digital recorders, cameras, and any paranormal devices they might have. Cherokee County Paranormal Society, who hosts this event, also supplies the tour group with actual paranormal equipment to use on the tour.
